you'll need a camber kit. they arent expensive. with suspension, if you cheap out, you'll pay for it.

Eibach Sportlines.
You will need a camber kit. You will need an alignment. Edit: You will find this thread super helpful. "The 'what will my drop look like?' thread" http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/suspe...ke-thread.html From before I had the front lip: ![]() ![]() Last edited by jen.; 07-15-2011 at 08:44 AM. |

Eh, I personally don't have camber arms and I'm aligned but I've still got some negative camber in the rear which is why I said you're gonna want one if you want even tire wear.

negative camber is not cool.
especially if its just in the rear it looks like you broke something.

From what i see, front camber kit is around 170-210 .. rear is around 110-160 ... plus the 220 for springs.... and im still not factoring in shocks/struts ... first upgrade will be my AEM SRI .. rains like a bitch around here, and im NOT cutting my wheel well to make a non-rubbing CAI.. i think ill buy peices/save up for the suspension.

![]() BTW, jumped on a price match and discounted AEM SRI, got it down to 150 shipped, thanks to a screw up by the company, and a decent coupon i got them to apply to it... Also will be purchasing a new set of rotors and pads, just went in for 45,000 service at honda, and front rotors and pads wont pass when inspection comes around... so might as well upgrade. Found some PowerStop rotors and pads for cheap .. so might as well get front and back, considering i can get new rotors AND pads, for 4 wheels for the price Honda wants just for the fronts. ![]()

So.. due to price.. and mileage i put on my car, i wanna lower it a bit, get the best ride, without the need of camber kit, which for the civic SI seems to be anything over 1.5 inches puts most Si coupes out of spec.
Eibach pro-kit ($220) Tein Htech ($235) HFP strut/shock and springs (75$ more) new in box at $300 (lowest drop of the group it seems)

and yes jen. i love your sportlines, but i really just don't feel like spending more on a camber kit then i do on the springs haha... plus the girls driveway is .. obnoxious and i do a lot of pot-holed highway, and back roads that aren't in the best of shape
figured id go for the best look and feel, in a budget, without the $300 camber kit (seems skunk is the only decent kit out there at $299 .. ingalls is interesting and still at $250) for the rear.. let alone if front is outta whack, which it seems everyone's civic drops differently... sorry im horrible at making up my own mind, but ive narrowed it down :D
