SouthJerseyRegion SCCA has a lot. 7/31 @ Bader Field

Just found out that SJR SCCA finally found a lot to line up the cones in. Of course it is farther then ever from me, but those in Central and South Jersey may love it. It's closer then the Meadowlands :P

Sunday, July 31 · 8:00am - 5:00pm

Bader Field
600 Albany Ave

It's not a lot...it's the runways at an abandoned airport.

Time to break out the Allman Brothers!

Hopefully I'll make the trek down in the fall or something.... Hopefully they will have Millville winter events again this year. Thats closer and cheaper on tolls :P I have not ran with SJ since Community College days, its one of my fav. crowds.... dont tell Philly Region-

How much of it can you use? Just the runway, or the taxi way also?

SJR is permitted to use the entire site. Some SJR staff went down Sunday to check it out and clean up some areas. They said the North and East runways are in good condition and so are the taxiways.

Pre-Registration is posted: https://axwaresystems.com/axorm/cale...curyearindex=5

You do not have to pay when you pre-reg. Even if you think you may be attending, you are encouraged pre-register to speed up the process at the event. SJR doesn't use a national style format, so the quicker all of the registration, tech, and driver's meeting are finished in the morning, the more time we have for runs!

OK thanks for the offer. I'm sure they'll let you know if they need someone. Andre usually sets up the courses for us.

$35 for SCCA members, $50 for non-members. That includes a weekend membership that can be applied for $15 credit toward a full membership should you decide to join.

The car basically needs to not fall apart while you drive it. Let me rephrase. It needs to be safe to drive. As far as mods go, your best bet is to list them, and I'll let you know your classing options. The rulebook can be pretty intimidating.

This is helpful read for all of the novices to get you through the day: http://www.tirerack.com/features/solo2/handbook.htm

Most of the what to bring is at your own discretion. If you bring your own helmet it has to be rated S2000 or later, but SJR has loaners available. Definitely bring sunscreen, even on the cloudy days. There's no shade out there.

There's a McDonald's across the street, but don't plan on a lunch break. If you bring food you can get a quick bite to eat between changeovers.
