It looked like he went to turn the car to the left, and his downforce turned to lift. I don't know why he didn't pull the chute until he was almost stopped. I can only imagine driving a car at 200+mph, let alone rolling it at that speed.

At least it wasn't a series of barrel rolls, he put it on it's roof and just slid. Could have been a lot worse.
