Thunderbird SC

Just detailed the bird and painted the rims. Crappy camera but what do you think of the car?

Not much love for much around here unless it's a 240 or some other car everyone slides sideways.

I will say nice car though and nice to see one still around that isn't beat to hell or in a junkyard.

Looks good, you should also paint the center caps to match the rest of the wheel

i like it, definitly a survivor. Super Coupes and Turbo Coups always were a favorite, just too damn rare.

Actually we have quite a few Ford guys so I'm sure you will fit right in. A friend of mine had one of these but his was a basketcase so I never got to see what it could do. I dig it. Any plans for it or are you going to just keep it original?

Nothing too extreme, BBK 75mm throttle body, Magnum Powers Intake w/ a 10" cone filter, B&M short throw, different plugs gapped correctly (stock were like .060). I have a 7% pulley for the supercharger I will put on once I fix the trans (3rd gear synchros bad) to pump it up to about 15 psi. I have a 5 setting SCT chip with a nice tune on it. I also have a custom exhaust done by myself....No Mufflers . Other than that, I'd like to maybe get slightly steeper gears.

I think it looks great but definitely needs better pictures! What kind of power is it putting down now? And what do you anticipate with the other pulley?

You definitely don't see too many of these anymore. Nice car though. The older couple across the street from my parents' house have an '89 SC that has never been modified, always been garage kept, never seen rain or snow, and has like 40k on it. They also have a '05 Thunderbird in even better condition although I'm not a huge fan of them.

Well I haven't had it dyno'd, I'd like to some time, but I would guess around 260+ at the moment. The torque these motors put it is incredible so that's probably well over 300 lbs. With the pulley I have no idea

Yeah I do need better pictures, but I don't have a good camera. Anyone wanna help with that?

I know my 6 banger is really a hated car but i would love to get a cheap take-off from a super coupe to make it a little more fun. The m90 is nice.

My old boss had a badass SC. Always loved them. I actually just rescued my old xr7 from the junkyard last month.

Look around, I've seen a few full kits on craigslist and ebay with everything you need.

bought it from the original owner in 08, traded it in for my wifes car in late 09 and instantly regretted it. then about a month ago i saw it in a junkyard in philly and bought it back. it sat for 2 years untouched. its a 91 5.0. the guy had a 3 inch binder full of receipts from day 1 when i bought it. best car i ever owned.
