The inspection station. They give 'em away for free.

Use the search page here http://mvcf.state.nj.us/sif.jsp

Then legally you can not get one. Fix your car, then go get one.

I am in the same position here. I wish there was a place that you could buy one and no one would care if it would pass or not.

lol.. you can have a loud muffler. Just throw a cat on there, other option is go to a private inspection place.

You asked how to get one, I told you how to legally get one. The fact is you wanted advice on how to violate the law, and I told you don't do it. Don't read anymore than that into my answers.

There is a simple solution that you seem to be missing, why don't you put the cat back in and try to get it inspected? Could you then take it out? Of course you could, but then you would be in violation again, but you would have your sticker. Why don't you invest in a good high flow cat? It will make you legal (sniffer and visual) and you can still have the better performance you have now.

As for the tint, you might be able to get by with it still on the car unless it is very dark. It might also be easier to find a place that might overlook the tint. Not that I would recommend this either, but you could try.

As for my car, it has 100% completely stock exhaust from the manifold to the tips. It still includes all three cats, and it is as quiet today as it was when it left the factory. It does pass without any trouble.

My car passes, 20% tint all around,2.5 exhaust ot Meghan racing muffler. And that's through state inspection station. It's all who u know.Put a cat on ur car, grow up a little and take the tint off and get it inspected.I got pulled over 5 times for tint in 3 months,so i manned up and took the tint off.Now i have no problems at all.Just do it legit cause a garage will most likely not risk their business nor a hefty fine to inspect ur car.Take it from me cause i work at a garage and we will scrape ur tint and we check all that the state does, and most of the mom and pop shops wont opt for the equipment to inspect cause it's expensive.

Its also possible cats will not help...RX7s are very emissions-unfriendly.

i think there was a thread about this before. the result was pretty much the same. if you want to get an insp sticker legally, there isn't a soul who's dumb enough to post the location on the intarweb thank sn2
