this was in rant? haha i didnt even notice.

I use allstate in philly my payment is 160/month. 18yo, driving "dads car", with good student discounts (for now), and drivers education.

I'm with allstate. I've been with them for close to 9 years and I have 2 cars and a house on the policy so I get a pretty good deal. I've gotten quotes from Progressive, Geiko, and State Farm but nobody can touch my allstate price.

Well, Progressive couldn't get me a better rate than State Farm, and if you hunker down and take drivers ed, it's something like 15% off when you finish the course.

I don't have the student discount since I dropped out of college. Fkers.

1200/6 months, only because the car isn't in my name. Supposedly it'd drop to like 800/6 if my mom wouldn't be lazy and fkin sign it over. She hasn't driven it in 2 years cause she has her own car. I bought the damn thing, GIMMEH!

State Farm is a good choice around here. Pick one, get a quote, then go to Progressive and see if they can beat it, and if they can't, see if any other can, because Progressive is cool like that.

Yeah i used to work for statefarm...they can sometimes beat competitors

But it all depends on your drivers record...i.e.- no tickets or accidents is the best way to get cheap insurance lol

I have 2 unreported accidents...neither of which were in my car, and neither of which were my fault.

First one I ripped off a mirror of an econoline that was parked because I had to avoid a biker riding the wrong way in Center City. Woman didn't press charges, and her van was broken down anyway (+1 for 3spd auto no o/d dodge van)

Second one was around the philly airport. Some chick blew a stop sign and I creamated her drivers side door by about 1' deep and 4' long (she kept driving after I slammed into her). Both pulled over, I overheard that she wasn't even supposed to be driving, she waved me on saying it was ok, and then she took off. I waited to see if she'd come back, saying I fled. She didn't, I looked at my bigass green dodge truck, and there was a paint mark, so I buffed it off. Meanwhile, her car had a gash in it. No license plate or anything.

I use New Jersey Manufacturers (yes, in PA). I don't think they are the cheapest, but I never worry about my coverage, ever.

dirt cheap can be Safe Auto.

Try using Progressive's site. If does some some research for you.

What do you mean best?

Best rate for the coverage?
Best in customer service?
or some combo?

State Farm seems to be common on cheap, but they blow ass with customer service.

Got you all beat. I have a clean record (tickets/crashes/chickens), live in the suburbs and I pay $400 a month with Hartford. Yep, that was the lowest quote I could get.

When your car insurance cost more a month than your car payment, you know its bad.
