Driver's seat rocking

I've got a really weird problem.

My drivers seat feels like it is bouncing around whenever I hit a bump. I checked the bolts on the seat base and they are all tight. Last week when I had some free time, I took a closer look. I cranked the seat all the way up (with that rachet thing on the side) and then started to pull/ push on the seat.
Best I can tell, the part that raises and lowers the seat is what's moving up and down slightly.

Whenever I hit a bump, it basically feels like my car is shaking around, but it is really just my seat.

Has anybody else come across this problem before?

The 02s had a recall on a bolt in the driver's seat, but I'm not sure if that extends to the 04. Check with your dealer.

Same as above but...its the bolt in the front that screws the bracket to the floor. Slide the seat all the way back and tighten it, I had the same problem back when I was on my stock seats years ago.

Already made sure all of the bolts holding the seat to the floor are tight. It still moves around. Any other ideas?

sounds like there's extra play in the adjustment... if its noticeable and bothering you take it to the dealership and have them look at it. if they cant adjust it maybe they'll replace it for you.
or if that doesnt work... i really need a drivers side seat base from an 04+... if you want to trade yours for mine... mine has no height adjustment and sits on the high side (its a jdm base). but it bolts down solid . dont know if you need that height adjustment or not but if not then maybe this is already in a good position for you as is.
