source: http://www.wreckedmagazine.com/blog/...-pro-am-series

For the 2011 season the XDC series will no longer be an official Formula Drift Pro-Am affiliate. The Formula Drift Am series is already too weak of a support program for upcoming professional drivers. Not sure where the fall out between these two organizations came from but I think Formula Drift should actively look at reacquiring the property to strengthen the Am series here in the United States. Hopefully we can provide some updates on this before the 2011 Xtreme Drift Circuit (XDC) schedule kicks off in early March."

Yeahhhh this really sucks for all my XDC brohams......

It's sad how it seems the professional drifting world is starting to fall apart due to greedy management.

I got a bunch of phone calls about this from my buddies but to be honest i really dont know what to think of it. Some really dont even care anymore (including me) and some think it will hurt the scene. This opens the door for my focus on the local events i guess. The NY scene is gonna get a boost this year with the D-up events and Clubloose will always have the media coverage that it normally gets. I plan on maybe going to watch some events but for the most part its all the same stuff and same drivers......

Yeah the payout's are what is gonna keep drivers in this. It seems like drivers actually have a shot in this series if they are not fully sponsored.

I agree! Its pretty sweet. Lets hope that this continues or if anything rekindles the interest for more drivers to compete.

Yup, not to mention that they have an EAST and WEST division....This brings down the cost of traveling a lot. Hopefully this will bring more drivers to these events.

And the sweet EAST vs WEST hype will make for some fun times too

It's probably all or nothing this year the series relies on how it does this year.

Sad but true. This will be a big year for XDC.

I kinda want to think of XDC like the D1 Street Legal, MSC to our Formula D. Ofcourse that depends on the Drivers but we"ll see how this pans out.
