More info on the Evo X
http://www.lancerregister.com/showth...5&pagenumber=1 http://www.mail-archive.com/gsr_evo@.../msg02122.html …because if they are, I believe the EVO will be the best bang for buck of all time. I’ve already got a wad of cash I’m waiting to lay down on this thing. ![]()

Honestly, I never liked “pictures” of the Evo VIII. They didn’t do anything for me. In terms of looks I was really leaning to a 350Z/G35 or M3. However, when I saw the car in person, I realized pictures didn’t do it any justice. I’m guessing the same thing maybe true about the X. It will probably look pretty good in person. Actually, I like pictures of the X better, than I did pictures of the previous VIII.
![]() Besides, if those specs and equipment turn out to be accurate, I’ll buy the car, then get as many aero parts as I can, and make it look good. Plus with a possible 2 inch increase in its’ track, and possible 8.5 width wheels, it will look very aggressive. ![]()

4G63 MIVEC, with a possible twin turbo from Greddy, and 345 foot-pounds of torque at 2800rpm, 360hp at 8700rpm, new all-wheel drive system, and paddle shifters… it doesn’t get any better than that.
"We are so excited about this new car," announced Yushimo Katisho the market manager for Ralliart. "We couldn't keep it under wraps. It will be a huge leader in the market and should prove to be dominant in the WRC stage. This is one of the main reasons why the car is released now, so we can get the rally side working again." …The engine powerhouse is the first step away from the conventional 4G63 long motor design that served for so long. Keeping the short motor design and platform Ralliart have gone into development with HKS and Greddy to create an amazing twin turbo system that will rock the turbo charged world's foundations…

sorry guys but that article sounds like the biggest bunch of bs i've ever read, and i promise thats not my subjective subaru side talking.
the quotes in the beginning certainly dont sound like they were coming from mitsubishi's representation and they definitely would not schedule their consumer car releases around a dying WRC campaign (or even a successful one). there's really no money to be made there, unlike in the consumer car market which i'm sure is their number one priority. i skimmed the article but other things that are surely bogus are 8700 rpm redline on a 2.5 liter? what other cars can boast that displacement and redline from the factory? 6 pot front brakes and 4 pot rears? thats not impossible, but what other cars have that for under $100k besides the new Z06? and... twin turbo??? i dunno, i think the Evo is sick and i'm sure it will continue to improve, but that article is a load of horse poo. no question about it...

Some of this stuff caught me off guard too, plus no one else seems to be talking about these specs. Like I said in the begining, I’m not sure how accurate this is. With the pictures of the tests mules, there appear to be slots for dual exhausts in the rear bumper. I know this isn’t 100% prof it will have a twin turbo (we’re still 2 years away so anything’s possible) but it would be odd if Mitsubishi produced a duel exhaust for no reason. That being said, one strike against the twin turbo theory is it would cost more to manufacture. That would not be a good idea if Mitsubishi produced this car if it will cost significantly more considering their current financial situation. It would be more cost effective to stick with the single turbo.

This is a hoax from the http://evolutionoz.net/ forums, here is a follow up post from the author having a laugh at the American forums for believing it...
