North Korea's New Threats

So I have been following this new North Korea fiasco on yahoo news lately. Every time I read something new it boggles my mind. Between the North Korea thing and the new Wikileaks documents that are coming out, I really feel like **** is going to hit the fan. South Korea and the US are still going forth with the drills dispite the North's provocations. I truly think the Korean war is going to start all over again. Of course we are going to get sucked into it. So what were going to fight two wars at the same time? Looks like the draft will be reinstated. On the flip side who's going to back up North Korea if war breaks out? China? What do you guys think, im curious to read conflicks response.

if its just the north and them only, i could see that being a quickley resolved conflict. however i wont be suprised if they threatend to launch bio chem weapons or even nukes. i dont think the draft would be reinstated, however, most of the army would relocate to camp casey in south korea. if china decides to support the north, then things will be very ugly as china insane amount of manpower will basically own the war.
we dont need any to send any more american troops into harms way.the communist retards in the north just need to chill. or get wiped off the earth.

They should reinstate it, more MFer's would actually give 2 F's.

china isn't much of an issue either. however, yes... things would get ugly and we could see a WW3 breakout if china sticks it's squishy little asian nose in. However, the UN would surely back the US up considering the only way we're getting into a fight with NK is if they fire the first significant round. Personally... i welcome NK picking a fight.

You mnean NK destroying a SK sub and firing artiliary doesn't coun't as the irst round? I personly think SK needs to f' up the North or stop bitching about it and just not talk. Problem solved.

didnt realize that they sunk a sub recently. I knew about the artillery firing however, but that is apparently par for NK. SK can't defeat NK on their own... and i don't think the US will get involved until either NK threatens w/ a nuke, or there is a loss of US life in this debacle.

Get a map. Look at the DMZ. Look at Seoul.

Now you understand why that hasn't happened yet.

Also:

South Korean defense minister Kim Tae-young was questioned by one politician why the South's retaliation was delayed 13 minutes and not forceful enough, to which Kim replied, "This isn't StarCraft."

Iraq was a quick affair took us like 3 days. An attack on the North wouldnt be in the mindset to occupy. Just to weaken them enough for many years. Just like it was done in desert storm. With the new Iraq war we went in their to occupy it

Kim later went on to explain South Korea's supply depot defense in great detail. South Korea plans on building numerous supply depots in the DMZ to minimize the chance of a ground invasion. Kim explained, "By placing supply depots in the DMZ North Korea's ground forces will be rendered completely useless and will be unable to go around them. Making invasion by land impossible." When asked why the North Korean forces could not just go around the supply depots he replied "Well, they just can't.".

WW3 may be on its way, but NK wont be the start of it. NK will be a "bad guy bandwagon jumper" when the war does break out. The real threat is the terrorists that our country is breeding with its retarded foreign policy in places like Somalia, where ordinarily normal people are being recruited to fight for islamic insurgencies in the name of "freedom" because the US keeps pushing an unwanted government onto them. North Korea by itself isnt a threat to us, especially with 90% of the rest of the world on our side of this one. China would be a threat to us, but they depend too heavily on US trade to risk a war with us.

But I think in recent years that its become evident that NK has no plans to stop their weapons research, or change their aggressive behavior. I think "diplomatic talks" at this point are a waste of time.

Wait for em to take the first shot, then turn N. Korea into a parking lot.

I too don't believe China would go to war against us. Their economy would take too much of a beating. They get majority of their metal from us not to mention the amount of things we buy from them. I dont think N. korea would start a war, however tomorrow will tell what the verdict is. They said if South Korea does live artillery drills from that island they will respond. However aside from their possible nuclear capabilities they really cant do too much. Isn't all of their equipment super old?

No war is going to break out over this. Father China will just slap them on the wrist by threatening to not ship long-grain rice and they will stand down grumbling like they always do.
