Here is the scenario:

I have an E46 M3 that is lowered 2 inches all the way around on Tein lowering springs. I needed new tires in the rear to replace my worn out 275/30/19s. So I went out and bought a pair of Bridgestone Potenza 275/35/19s. NOW THEY RUB!

I believe they are rubbing toward the outside of my rear bumper b/c that is visually where it looks the tire is closest to the cars surface. I was told a few different options thus far:

1. Put my old tires back on and buy a different set
2. Let the tires rub until they dont rub anymore
3. Put stock springs back on the car

What would you guys do?? I wish my car had coilovers so I could just raise it up a hair or 2, but its just lowered on springs according to the previous owner.

if they're rubbing the fender you can roll the fender. not much you can do if they're rubbing anywhere else other than buy new tires.

any reason you went to a 35 sidewall over the 30 series?

I went with a 35 sidewall to give me a little extra tire. Roads around here are pretty piss poor and I figured a little more tire might make the ride a little smoother, less chance of hitting a big hole and blowing out, give me a little more leway, etc.

if its not rubbing to bad then just roll the lip of the fender then you should be cool

get a baller alignment... i hear rt tuning can do it but i have no personal experience

Roll the fenders or remove \ cut the fender liner in the wheel well... I have 275's on the rear of my BMW and I rub when I go over bumps with people in the back... You can adjust your camber if the cars already adjustable... dunno if u'll need to buy suspension parts...

I dont wanna dub, I wanna drive.

Car is lowered on Tein springs, no coilovers or adjustable suspension that I know of.

Here are some pics taken just minutes ago, I also took some of where its rubbing. Thanks the stance does look good but I dont like the extra issues I am having, not to mention the rougher ride.

Removal of your wheel well and the rolling of your fenders will correct this.

^ he's not on coilovers.

putting the stock springs on isn't worth the time or money since you'll need an alignment.

spend the $50 or whatever per corner and get your fenders rolled. it'll look awesome.

Haha i dont own a vw. Although i rubbed when i put my coils on but i just let the wheel well rub away where it did

I say option number 1. From the pictures you posted it looks like not only is it hitting the fenders, but it also may be hitting the rear bumper over a bump. I have family up that way and used to roll around on 215/35/18's and never bent a wheel on a pothole. I think the 275/30's should be just fine.
