Installing network adapters

So my one labtop crashed on me the other day. I had to install a new hard drive, and I re-installed windows on this hard drive.

But I can not connect to the internet. I think it is because there are no network adapters for the wireless internet available.

Now I called dell and tried to get customer service, but since my computer is out of warrenty they are trying to charge me 60 dollars for their service. Im not coughing up that much money to install a wireless adapter.

So I have a Dell Stuido 1750 with Windows vista. I need to install a network adaptor, any help would be appreciated.

You probably need drivers.

Do you have 64 or 32 bit Windows?

(If you don't know, it should tell you under My Computer > Properties)

The **** is a labtop?

Anyways, go on dells website and type in your service tag.

http://support.dell.com/support/topi...us&l=en&s=hied

It'll have the drivers necessary that came with the factory hardware.

A couple of explanations. He would be on ANOTHER computer AWAY from home. He could be on a new fang-dangled smartyphone. He could be in the matrix. The list goes on.

Use your other computer and go to Dell's website and download the driver, put it on a thumb drive, and install it. Problem solved.
