It will only let me make emergency calls with no sim

It's telling me I need itunes when I put my sim in.

Is this thing reported stolen?
other ones I've bought work as a itouch without the sim

are you using it for at&t ? if its not unlocked it wont work with out an at&t sim

no i have my friends old 3g iphone, you have to plug it into itunes first i think. just tells me no sim all the time. I use it as an ipod lol

Sounds like you need to jail break it and unlock the phone so you can use it without a sim card.

I only plan to use it as an itouch then give it to someone with att

I have spyware blocking my web browsers from going online. I'll have to use itunes on another computer
