New best for the 89 over the summer.
But I did my best time ever in late july with 90's as the track temps. (huge problem for me...no charge cooling) Anyways I was running mid 13's@ 104-6 mph all mourning. Then let it cool, took a break. Then busted out a 13.4@ 109.2. I was so stoked, mostly at the trap. Drag racing a SHO is not easy, its not made for drag racing. I did have full slicks for traction (hoosier quick time pro's) Only way to use the power in 1st. Still a ****ty 60's of 2.24. A 11' GT was running slower times and traps than me, so that also made me very happy. ![]() Its has plenty more in it. let alone the HOT temps and I know its heatsoaking like crazy. Plus the tune on it is garage. Complete utterly garage. And mastering the lauch is not easy but the car has the power to go high 12's... easily. Its beaten low 12 sec cars on the street. Here the slip ![]() Btw the other lane is a turbo SHO with DR's. My buddy and I had a Boosted SHO SHOwdown. Drove 2.5 hours to mason dixon, 10 runs, then back. Car is rock solid. I love it! He put a best time of 13.6@104. 2.04 60' HAD a Small turbo Lots'O torque but chokes the high revving SHO motor up top. Turbo's are so nice just turn a screw and add boost. A tad jealous. |
