I think the photo is a bit of an illusion, the fender lip has a piece of black trim on it normally and this sideskirt is painted white, so the white seems like it sticks out a bit, but its not protruding into the fender, it wraps around like it should (just contrasts with the black trim above it).

OH. I see what they are looking at. Yes, Bryan is correct. I have a piece of black plastic on the inside of the fender well so that rocks do not chip the paint in there and make it look like crap.
