Seller trys to rip off forum members on saab92x.com

It's kinda funny I'd pass it onto the other boards that members here frequent. Because he has also done the same thing with these cars:

1991 MR2 Turbo
2001 F250 Diesel
1993 Lexus SC300
2008 Nissan Titan
1999 Toyota Camry
2004 Subaru Forester
2002 Lexus IS300

OP's user name was for this site only. Google 9sec95autoTT and see what this guy's been selling elsewhere, and also find his photobucket. I wonder what OK's sales tax rate is? Multiply that by the amount of money this jamoke's been making, and not paying taxes on, plus the purchase price when he buys the vehicles that he's not paying taxes on, and I'm sure that's a good chunk of change.

Quote:
OP, you tried to sell an overpriced Saabaru on a site inhabited but what may be THE expert site, got slapped around, said some nasty stuff, got outed as an illegal car dealer, and now will be in legal trouble. Quit while you're behind, YOU DUMB ****.

Great read. Bookmarked it so I can see if the seller gets nailed for illegal used car sales.

thread was boring. the attitudes of both parties was non conducive to a business relationship. OP should have bounced, forum shouldn't have made it personal.

Wouldn't say the seller was trying to rip off the forum, he was honest about the car's condition it seemed. He did his research, on that forum, to get an idea of it's worth and if it was worth flipping. Nothing wrong with flipping it... granted, he's cheating the government out of the tax money but i'm sure most of us told the tag place the used car we bought privately cost less than it did to usurp the sales tax a bit.

I didn't read the thread, But I love the quote that someone posted about getting him in legal trouble over being an ''illegal'' car salesman.

You are paying taxes when you BUY the car, And taxes are being paid when you SELL the car. If you build the car, you are paying taxes on the parts. How much tax do you want the guy to pay?

You are aloud a certain amount of cars per year that you can sell. In PA, It is now 10 cars. Realistically, If he is buying and flipping cars, There is nothing wrong with that. People get crazy and ''jealous'', Because someone does this and they can't. I always see this happening. All he really needs to do is have the cars title'd in other peoples' names, And there is no proof he even owns any of the cars. Although, I'm sure the forum detectives would do massive research on that aswell, Being thats usually how every forum is when something like that gets posted and started. Everyone jumps in on it, And throws in their comments when in reality they have NO idea what is really going on.

For people to get upset over the guy buying and re-selling for profit, Is crazy. Guess what? That is what the world does. ANYWHERE you go, ANYTHING you buy, You are being charged MORE then the seller is selling it for. Groceries, fuel, Cars, Clothes, Homes, ETC. That's life.

He can become a notary for $100. It's quite simple, And then he no longer needs to go through anyone else. He can also get a dealers lisence aswell if needed. I'm sure he chooses not to, Because a dealers' lisence comes with a whole new book of rules and regulations and is alot more strict on buying/selling cars, Then your normal private party seller down the street.

There are so many different ways around the situation of getting ''caught'', If you are selling high volume amounts of vehicles. It really shoulden't be illegal, Because you are still stimulating the economy rather then saving all your money, And you are still paying taxes on everything.

EDIT:

Starting to read through the pages. Realized he did not have the car registered since he purchased it, And was trying to do a title jump? That's definatly a big NO. I sold a car this way once, The state police were at my garage (6 of them, And the detective squad awell), Within 1hr. I made a mistake thinking being it was notary stamped and signed, It was "ok". NEVER would I do that again. This happen about 1 1/2 years ago. They then informed me on everything that is OK and no ok with buying/selling cars. Title jumping is a big NO no matter how you look at it!

EDIT again:

Read the entire thread now. Should have done that in the first place. That was my fault. WOW, What a big mess! Also noticed he never registered any of the cars in his name( or anyones name ) for that matter. That is also a big NO, And you can usually only get by with doing that, If you know a shady notary that just does not care about potentially losing their lisence and going to prison with you.

yes, the side mirrors are even stamped with FHI - Fuji Heavy Industries - Subaru's parent company.

It's basically an impreza wagon with different sheet metal and a little bit nicer interior.
