I've been four of the last five years. I don't want to (and am not going to) go this year (yay!--I loathe Vegas). The show has been less than stellar the last two years lots of the same stuff regurgitated. If you've never been you will probably enjoy it. The convention center is hew-age...take comfortable shoes. By a unlimited el pass and use it to get to and from the strip (taxis are a major rip off and the taxi stand lines are retarded).

Bet it all on red.

Ive been there the last 3 years. The first year I went I really enjoyed it! I have never been to a trade/car show of that magnitude before and I was astonished at the quality of vehicles there. As the years went by and returned, it seems as if the economy is definetly taking its toll on the automotive market. Less Vendors, Less Cars, and etc... The wheel and tire room last year was pretty much empty and big names such as Toyo, BFGoodrich, Michelin, Dunlop & etc... were not even on exhibit. Its ashame how smaller and smaller its getting.

I thought sema wasn't open to the public...just to people in the industry?

Admission to the SEMA Show and AAPEX are for the automotive trade only. Registrants may be asked to provide proof of their affiliation in the automotive industry.

^thats what it says on their website

It is definetly worth it for networking purposes, trying to get new accounts, and trying to generate more sales. Its really more of a trade show then a car show. You get to speak to the owners and executives of big companies. Of course everyone parties hard at night as well haha!!

I don't know your background but who knows you might work at an airline or something. I wasn't planning on goin this year because of work purposes but If you get me some round trip flight tickets I might be able to help you out haha

That sucks man, but don't worry you're not the only one. Every year I see ppl at the entrance trying to get in that had no idea that Sema is a private trade show lol.

Yeah exactly networking is everything in the auto world...or pretty much life in general haha! I should be taking over the shop that I work at in a few years and I'd like to get some good contacts before that happens. Maybe next year

I agree I have been going for years and the last two have not been that good. I figured it was because the economy has been in the ****ter. I am on the fence if I am going to go this year.

Sema is fun to party at but PRI is where it is at for hardcore racing stuff.

How do you book plane and hotel and not even research that it is not open to the public?
