I'm not the smartest of men but 12.49 @116 seems somewhat on the slow side for a twin turbo setup what are they suppose 2 run.

Obviously not twin turbo, and obviously a bad driver... very nice car nonetheless, and they sound rowdy even stock.

You guys are correct in your assumption

If it were a twin turbo production S7, it would be running 10.7 @ 136mph for a grand total $555k...not to mention 750/700 7.0l TT v8

A stock S7 will run 10.8 @ 131mph for a nice pricetag of $430k. A small 7.0l v8 with a rating of 575/570.

Neither number is too horrible for a 2750lb MR car with a 6spd and a lateral acceleration of 1.02g.

Gee, think someone sucks at driving?

So you spend $125,000 more for two turbos that will make it 0.1 seconds faster with a 5mph trap speed difference? Something doesn't sound right at all. If that is the case, give me the "base" model S7 and I'll take that $125,000 and put it into motor work and dust the twin turbo version.

*points to post*

Read it.

Though, by the exhaust note, it coulda been a 1g S7, which only runs like 11.4...either way, someone sucks at driving.

Lack of traction. It needs MUCH better tires than it has stock to move down the track with that kind of power.

Much like the Dodge Ram SRT-10.

Don't forget, these cars aren't 100% made for performance. They're status symbols...like H2's.

Yeah that bad ET and MPH has to do more with the driver. The launch was so soft and started slow.

His post made it seem like those were statistics of the cars, not from regular drivers pulling those times regardless of their skill.

A horrible driver should still pull 11's in those cars...unless it's a 1g S7, and from the looks, it's not.

Well, the 'base' model can't spin it's tires at 95 miles per hour. That's why you buy the twin turbo version!!

No really, the turbo version isn't intercooled and uses only 5-7 pounds of boost, but still makes 700 hp. I'd like to ride in one from a 70 mph roll on

That's pretty embarassing for the driver in the video.

Actually, that's about correct. Plus, it goes "shhhhhhhhHHHHHHH Pshhhht!"

They don't seem to like to intercool their MR's.

What track was it at?? ...DA has a LOT to do with times (especially if it's one of those 5000' above sea level tracks)

EDIT: On second look, it states 2005 saleen in one vid. 2006 in the other, so not the same car.

However, 2005=twin turbo (so does 2006)
2004 was the last year for n/a.

BTW, that S7 IS IN FACT A TWIN TURBO, or so the video maker says..
http://videos.streetfire.net/search/...461B7AF8DA.htm
If it was in fact a twin turbo, the turbo's are machines that were used in airplanes to correct for altitude differences. The car should not be a 2 full seconds slower. Even a really bad driver could pull off 11's in that car. It's next to impossible to miss a shift in it.

I agree, something's screwed up, but it's definately a twin turbo. even bogging the launch, the car should have ran faster.
