Help with exterior adhesive removal

Yes I'm finally going to get rid of my fake fender vents. I'm worried that if I were to remove it it might mess up my paint. Any tips or help would be appreciated.

if they're just stick on then heat it up a little bit with a blow dryer and use fishing line and slide it right on through. It may (and probably will) leave some of the adhesive but that's as easy as picking it off

I'll have to give that a shot and see what happens. I'd hate to f*** up the fender.

Check out a product called tarminator. It's made by stoners. Clear cost &paint safe, and works great for removing adhesive residue. I've used it many times to clean off the residue from vinyl stickers on painted surfaces. Works great.
