05 STi Stock BBS with extended studs? open lugs?

Hey guys i need some help, does anybody know if i can use the stock 05 BBS rims with extended studs and open lugs? I heard somewhere that they would have to be taped seats to use the open lugs, anyone know about this? I would much rather use my stockers and have them powder coated than have to buy new rims. If anyone can help itd be appreciated, thanks.

they're justr a normal open end lug nut but when i ordered them i asked if they were able to work with stock rims and they said yes because of how it tapered at the end towards the rim.

Most open lugs are threaded out to the full extent of the lug. The outside non-threaded end is almost always drilled out wider than the threads so an extra long wheel stud can still be used with out any problems. The threads usually stop where the hex and round part of the stud is. Im running these on my GC8 Impreza.

Every open end Mutekis lug I have ever seen is either threaded all the way out or counter drilled so the stud can ( if needed ) thread/stick through. Both these pic's are Mutekis....you should be fine
