Members looking for a dog or cat to adopt

I will volunteering at Faithful Friends no kill animal shelter in Wilmington, DE. They have some beautiful dogs there who need a new home and tons of great cats all with personality who are also looking for a home. So if any of you are considering getting a dog or a cat check out the available animals on the site and come on down to check some of them out. The adoption fees are very reasonable and if you provide a home to an older animal or one with special needs there is a discount (the information on all of this is on the site).

Thanks. My friend wants a cat but doesn't know which kind yet. Is this any different or better than the SPCA?

The SPCA is similar, this place has a lower euthanasia rate they only euthanize I think 3% of animals that come in (not sure what the SPCA rate is) and according to the volunteer coordinator this is usually because the animal is so sick that nothing can be done for them. Tell your friend to go there they have so many cats that many roam around the front office area, there are two whole rooms where they can roam, plus many are in cages and what does not fit at the shelter are spread out to foster homes and petsmarts and places like that around pa. I would not say they are better per se but I like the fact that they are not willing to split up animals who are used to living together so they will not adopt them seperately, I'm not sure if SPCA does that or not.
