going to be posting here and updating what i do on my car getting ready for autox. some things im going to do is!
1) new suspension
2) new wheels (maybe 17x7.5~8) wanting 14~18 lbs per rim
3) lose some weight, tossing out the back seat and what ever else i dont need
4) 16g turbo with supporting mods, and a tune. want to make 250~300 whp
5) add a 12 inch sub because you need some rock music when you race

from the galants that I've driven with 16gs (evo IIIs), they spool somewhat later and harsher then something smaller like a 14b. you want smooth power delivery if you want to manage decent times.

~Make sure you ead the rule book and have a specific class in mind before your start throwing mods at it. If you don't give it up after the first few events you will probably get addicted and then regret wasting money or not even being close to "competitive" in the class your in. There is a Warminster AutoX this sunday, why dont you come out and give it a try and meet some people and learn new stuff?
There is a guy who runs a 2ga awd talon that can drive pretty good thats a usual at the events. Here is one of a handful videos i took and have of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzAWr_DSrGI

When you ready to drop in some cams, i have a bnib set of BC272's that are a perfect match for a 16g setup.

90% sure i work sunday so dont know if i can go :< maybe the next event. i also forgot to say i also want to do open track racing. iv heard that the evo III 16g's spool faster then the T25?

Read the rule book and drive a few events before you start spending money and removing interior

Also this site is full of autocross/car setup tech and it just so happens to be run by the guy who started the Street Mod class and pioneered the DSM chassis:

you can edit yourself, just go to advanced edit

right not im going to going to try to run stock. later on ill move up to Street Prepared and then SM. this is going to take awhile for everything so you never know :P

You do know you can't have your radio on during your runs right?

Obviously you didn't look hard enough. The guy competitively races a 97 TSi AWD.

i did read it. just DSM Tuners had a thread on what you can/cannot do in each class.
