DDM HID's?

Looking at the DDM HID's (http://www.ddmtuning.com/products/101/), question is, should I go with 35W or 55W? Looking to do just my low beams since I have aftermarket 100W high beams... Right now I also have 80W low beams, in a simulated 6000K color... I just love the look of HIDs and I want to go with 8000K. Also, does anyone have any problems with burning bulbs out? I see a lot of HID equipped cars running around with one bulb out... not only un-safe, but it ruins the visibility... can I get replacements bulbs if I do blow one out? Will the 35W be brighter than my bulb now? And will it melt my headlight housing?

I have used DDM for almost all my HID kits. I've run their 55w on e36 projector headlights with glass housing, 35w e36 fog lights with glass housing and 55w on Mazda 3 projector headlights with plastic all 5000k without problems (I also used their battery harness on the Mazda). I highly recommend their kits (not Raptor kits) as they also carry a lifetime warranty on their ballasts.

I also have them on both of my cars. I have the 55w 6000K setup in the low beams on my Supra in and a 35w 3000K kit for my fogs.
I have 35w 6000K and 35w 3000K for my Subaru as well, again for lows and fogs. I've had good experience with them and can recommend then with confidence. I hear their customer service isnt good but I've never needed it, and for the price I wouldnt care about buying replacement parts if it ever comes to that.

Oh and I really wouldn't recommend any higher than 6000K... light output falls off quickly and its just not as tasteful looking IMO. 6000K has a noticeable blue tint to it, its just not quite over the top. As far as 35w or 55w, thats your call. They're both bright, the 55w get hotter though so I've heard them only recommended in glass housing headlights or plastic housings that have a lot of volume inside of them because melting could be a potential issue.

So 6000k seems to be the way to go, do you have a pic of your 6000k DDMs Troll?

When in doubt don't risk it. Stick with the 35w for your own piece of mind.

Their service... could be worse. They sent me the wrong bulbs with my kit. They could have made it easier to contact them and they're slowwwwwwwwww but I ended up having everything taken care of.

I have a 35w 6000k single beam kit. Overall I'm happy with it. Can't beat the price.

Just get the Slim kit, don't worry about anything else, that's what I did.

Another question, I might be gettign new headlight housings for my truck soon nd might ned to change the type of bulb... can I buy the bulb separately or do I have to buy the whole kit again?

You can buy the bulbs alone from the website.

If you're run anything higher than the 55w you will need the harness because you need a direct source to power. Meaning a connection direct to the positive and negative of the battery. Error code eliminators take care of the " head light bulb out" signal that my car gives me everyday because I was to cheap to buy them for my lease.

Yup, the error code. Mine says " Left headlight nonfunctioning" "Right headlight nonfunctioning"

So basically it dupes the computer into thinking it has a connection. Because it doesn't use either of the main wiring harnesses.
