that's by far the worst i've ever seen. the inside of your car is completely exposed to the weather. at the bottom, along the pinch weld, there's probably little to no metal left. you have absolutely no choice but to put an entire quarter on it, and that involves some serious body work skills. from a shop you would s*** yourself when you saw the estimate, so unless you find someone who would do it for cheap as side work, then you're pretty much screwed. cheap will mean garbage work 95% of the time, so the rust will just come back anyway.

please, whatever you end up doing... DO NOT let anyone try to cut out the rust and put in patch panels. a lot of hack body techs will tell you that it's the right way to go but believe me that quarter panel is so far gone, there's no way you could ever patch that and expect the rust to not come back. besides, you'll probably just end up with inch-thick body filler.

i wish i could tell you i'd do it for a reasonable price, but that right there is a pretty large job, and i just don't have the time at the moment.

Not to sound like a dick, but why did you bother buying it? It seems you should have started off with a much cleaner body from the get go rather than buy this for cheaper then dump money into repairing it.

Either get a new quarter on, find a shell and convert over, or better yet, part the car out, junk the shell (scrap it for cash), and with the money you made buy a nicer condition one. ****, engine and trans should get you about 500 I'd assume.

Lol, I give it 6 months before the rear quarter window slides down to replace your quarter panels.
