hey guys getting the girlfriend into the car scene. shes been coming to meets and races with me for a while now and shes really getting into it. she needs a car now for college and wants to have one she can have fun with and bring to meets and such. ive been teaching her to drive and shes doing quite well.

anyway, she realistically has about 2500 to spend.. looking for ideas of cars too look for. she wants a stick and its gotta be something that will be fairly reliable. rear or awd. miata would be her favorite but open to any other ideas also..

I was in the same position 5 years ago, looking to get my then-girlfriend now-wife her first "cool" car. We somehow ended up affording a Type R Integra (not sure how) and she even learned how do drive stick in that car!

I second the "save up longer so you can get something fun AND reliable" idea.

Yea your not gonna find a real reliable tuner car for $2500. Unless you buy a civic but everyone has one of them. Save up longer!

Are you joking? There's plenty out there. Just gotta keep looking. Old Supra might be in her price range, DSMs, Teggys, etc.
