It's weird cause i know a small whining is usually heard by the 255, but the noise i hear is absurd. Like i can be listening to my music in the car and if i'm on a long trip i can hear the fuel pump plain as day. It sounds serious to me. And its to the point where if i get a new one a might just get a 190. I'm only running 11 psi.

I noticed a bit of a whine with my walboro 190 too. If your looking at swapping looking into the stock toyota supra pumps. They flow a bit more than the 255 but they are known to last a lot longer and mine never whined.

+5000. Have had one in my car since 98K miles, sitting at 142K now and still going strong.

Ok well with that being said, i think i might get the supra pump. Do you guys know what year supra pump i should get? And should it be a 255 or what exactly should i be looking for? Thanks for the feedback.

The factory 93-98 TT Fuel pump is a Denso pump, I run two on my car and can not hear them when the car is running at all.

Alright well i'm gonna get a new fuel pump regardless, so if the supra pump is really worth the extra cash i'm most likely just gonna get it. I just can't stand that walbro pump and all the noise it makes. Anyone know where i can get a cheaper supra pump? Like does anyone know someone selling one? Thanks.

Check supraforums and CL. In your case though, you're really paying for the comfort and longevity factors, so sucking it up and never worrying about it again is probably worthwhile.

Sounds like you're pump is overheating. Walbro's do whine, but it's not THAT bad. I can't hear mine once I fire the car.

i can hear mine whine, but, it's the same pitch the whole time. also, doesn't help that my civic is gutted, and the fuel pump is right behind me,

I got my used TT Supra pump for under 100 shipped back when i actually had a dsm and used it for 20k miles before selling it to a friend who's been using it for 4-5 years since. They are made by Denso who are known for their reliability. I believe they put out 260 lph. You can also check the bigger dsm sites like dsmtalk and dsmtuners for people selling used ones.

Yeah i just sucked it up and bought a brand new denso yesterday for $235. Honestly as long as its reliable and doesn't give me and issues than i don't have a problem dishing out that kind of money. But it checked out some other sites and the denso seems to get great reviews by everyone.

Yeah mine whines all the time, and the longer i drive the worse it gets. Its honestly that loud that its umbareable. Anyway...i should have my denso pump in by the end of this upcoming week, i just got the pump yesterday. It pretty excited to drive my car and not feel like its gonna blow up.
