ringland issues, trans issues from what i've been reading.

still a great car, but it still isn't bulletproof and the weakness of the 2.5l still hasn't been addressed by subaru.

i dunno man...personally, i'd rather grab a used 05 STi than buy a new WRX or STi. they dont' make em like they used to.

i was one of the awesome lucky few to have their engine replaced, anyways when they replaced it i got a bad taste in my mouth from subaru and the dealer and the car has never been the same(even though that happened at 2500 miles). it has been pointed out to me many times have cheap and crappy certain parts are on it compared to earlier years. Mostly suspension. While i thought it was very good after about 10k miles and a good wear on the tires i could feel it def being sloppy in the turns. Ive also had a few interior parts replaced under warranty because they broke which isn't that big of a deal to me. Besides the specific 09 wrx's that had the problem i haven't read any larger problem about the 09+ and only other mains i have are with thing that should be better in most wrx's or cars in general.

Early 09's had ringland issues. Haven't seen to many problems since then. There supposedly has been "early clutch wear" on a handful of 09's that I've heard on some forums. Funny thing about that though is I haven't heard of any 10's having clutch issues. Funny thing is the are the same part number. Some guys just don't wanna admit they have been beating the hell out of their car or can't drive well.

I'd buy a wrx over driving a honda any day of the week. can't really match what you get out of the box and the modability. I'd wait till the 11's though when the wrx's get the sti fender flairs.

I havnt heard of any problems with the 2010s. The 09s had those engine failures that were within a certain build date. I have heard of clutches going out early including mine but its mainly 08s and a few 09s. I also learned on this car though so... yeah. I'd wait for the 2011s, they're sexier.
