:: Drew's Run Rally 2010 Details and Info (Tail of The Dragon Run) ::

“Drew’s Run” is a short Rally dedicated to a friend and fellow car enthusiast who died this past year at the age of 24. Drew had a long hard fight with cancer and managed to pull through, but as soon as things starting getting better he found himself in the hospital again. This time he was facing one of the most dangerous procedures in the medical field, a bone marrow transplant. He underwent intense radiation and chemotherapy and was putting up an amazing fight. However the infection was proven to be too strong and on August 9th 2007 Drew found peace, he would have been 25 August 12th. One of the things Drew wanted to do before he passed was to take some good friends and have a small Rally/Cruise. However the drive never happened and as we have Drew in our thoughts and his family in our prayers we do this drive for them. More info on Drew can be found here www.drewspinelli.com

TAIL OF THE DRAGON AT DEALS GAP has 318 curves in 11 miles and is America's number one motorcycle and sports car road.

Yes all makes and models are welcome, we should have a few bikes as well. We would love to have you.

It is limited to about 25 vehicles so it is first come first serve and anyone who has participated in a previous Drew's Run has a reserved space.

Well we have a bunch of regulations as far as Safety, it's actually our #1 regulation under rules obviously we don't want anyone getting hurt or ticketed. Last year all the way down to Miami and Back we had one person get a ticket. All of us venture above the limit on occasion, but usually not in a manor that we couldn't control or beyond our limits. Theres a difference between spirited and reckless.

1.SAFETY
“DREW’S RUN RALLY” 2010 is a RALLY… NOT a Race. You must NOT compete in any manner with other participants. You must drive safely and with proper courtesy to all other participants and members of the public. You must NOT drive if your ability to do so safely and properly is in any way compromised by illness, lack of adequate rest, medically intoxicated, under the influence of illegal substances or any other condition that will put you and your surrounding Rally participants, general driving public, pedestrians, and any other persons or property at risk in any way whatsoever.
You MUST comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the City, County, State and Country in which you are present at any given time during the Rally, including but not limited to all speed regulations, laws of the road, laws relating to the safety of your vehicle and operation of your vehicle, laws relating to registration of your vehicle, laws relating to your personal license to operate a vehicle, insurance laws relating to your operation of your vehicle, and laws relating to the possession or use of alcohol, drugs or other prohibited substances. The “Drew’s Run” Staff reserves the right to prohibit you from participating further in the Rally for any single violation of the foregoing or of any terms and conditions contained herein.

here is some other info if it helps,

3. PARTICIPATING VEHICLE:
The Rally is open to all makes, models and years of vehicles. However, the majority of vehicles will be “Luxury, Sports, Euro & Exotic” cars. We are looking for a diverse, unique collection of high-end vehicles. Places are limited to just fifty (25) vehicles and there is no guarantee with respect to available spots unless you were in the Rally before, but the more amazing, eccentric or unique the car, the better the chance of acceptance into the Rally.

3. PARTICIPANT’S AGE:
Any participant or passenger in a Rally vehicle (a “Participant”) must be 18 or over.

4. RESPONSIBILITY: “Drew’s Run Rally” LLC and its members, employees, consultants, agents, staff, assigns, and attorneys (collectively, “Drew’s Run Rally Staff”) accept no responsibility for and shall not be liable to any Participant for the consequences of a Participant’s actions or omissions in participating in the Rally, including but not limited to being cited, charged, prosecuted, or prohibited from participation arising from the improper conduct of a Participant at any location, stop, facility, establishment, public road, or any other place a Participant in present during the Rally 2010.

6. VEHICLE:
Each Participant must have a legal and valid vehicle registration with name of Participant matching such Participant’s vehicle, as well as appropriate and up to date insurance.

7. AUTOMOBILE LICENSE:
Each Participant must hold a current, valid and unrestricted driver’s license issued from one of the United States and must present same to the Drew’s Run Rally Staff upon request.

8. SOBRIETY:
Each Participant must be completely sober while operating any motor vehicle. Each Participant must NOT consume alcohol while driving nor drive under the influence of alcohol or any other intoxicating substance at any time.

Do it, Co-driver is almost a must, not to mention it allows you to split the cost.

We are also going to film it like a Top Gear in search of the best driving road in the US. Except not with crazy exotics or $1,000 beater cars but everyday vehicles.

We are going to send the video to them as well.

Finish it up!

it's an amazing time, even if you don't do the rally deff get down to deals gap and do the tail sometime. It's pretty surreal, the cause and people in the rally road tripping to the location just makes it that much better.
