2 Go Pro Videos

i got myself the go pro hero hd this past month, mainly for mountain biking and skiing, next season, but i also got the motor sport suction cup, so i took advantage of it over the past week while its been so hot.

here are 2 videos, both time lapse and both with music, so no engine/exhaust sounds (my car isnt loud like that anyway.)

both videos are from the suction cup to the roof.

its a great little camera, but dont expect to get the same quality videos as on their website, unless you have the right video editing software. all ive got is imovie, so that will have to do.

few things i've noticed that suck-

1. wind noise is horrible--- you get 2 back covers for the camera housing. one is for 0-120mph and the other is 120mph and up. both are pretty s****y. once you hit 20 mph+ either on the car or on a bike, going down hill, you pretty much need to add music to avoid a headache from the wind noise.

2. not good at night--- i know its not a night camera, but unless you have some lighting (like driving into the city) you see a horrible picture.

3. camera shake--- on the car with the suction cup, its pretty steady. but on my mountain bike its very annoying and you need to add music over these videos also.


dont take those 3 "problems" the wrong way tho, because over all its still a great sports camera. during the day is the best time to get video (with as much light as possible) and you can mount it pretty much anywhere with the right accessories and still get sick videos. so minus the sound/shaking problem, i love it.

would i recommend getting one? yes.

Yeah I feel the same about the camera, you can check out some of the videos I mashed together using a crapy editing program on my youtube page in my sig. I've been working on a higher quality video using encore but I can only export it to DVDs? =( meh I'll figure something out.
