New summer setup - Wheels and Suspension

After a frustrating month of working on the car and getting all the parts my little summer project is completed. I did a Pedders Street II suspension kit and purchased some stock wheels and had them powder-coated black chrome by Bonehead Performance who did an excellent job. The car sits very nice now and handles 20X better than before, ride quality is also good. Front tires are 235/40 and rears are a 255/40. I had the rear fenders rolled today by L.I.P. collision, great work and turn around time. Well onto the pics..

Looking good, but why stock wheels instead of aftermarket?

There isn't a very good selection of good aftermarket wheels and the offsets are very hard to match. I got the set of stockers for a price I couldn't refuse and I like the way they look

They fit BMW wheels an some other weird things alot of the wheels are custom. Doesn't really matter the best looking wheels on them are either the stock 18s or CCW.

Other then CCW's i haven't seen a set of wheels i've liked on a GTO. I think yours came out perfect. You just need somebody to take some quality pics of the car now.

Call me a ricer- but i saw a stanger with te37s done right and loved it in Hamilton--- (actually they were the Rotas) but the thick spoke was really cool on the American car--- I could picture them on a goat.

Other then that- there is nothing like clean OEM greatness

I think GM has spent more money on my car in warrenty work then i have right now. Just picked it up at Chevy an 1 of the things fixed was a new steering wheel which was 600 bucks alone cause 1 button broke on the radio switchs lol. Still love the car though hoping to grab some stock 18's once I find a good set for a reasonable price I wanna do the same thing powercoat them or get them chromed.

Yea it was basically CCW's or nothing and that runs around $4500 with tires and I saw no purpose in it. Yea I do need some better pictures it looks awesome in person

I doubt they would fit unless the hub and wheel bore were matched. I was going to try and do something different with the wheel's but custom wheels are a lot of $$$$

My car has never been to a GM dealer or had any warranty work. The stock 18's are nice but you can't fit much tire on them when lowered and they sell for a pretty penny

Thanks everyone. My motor that I was building for this car is now officially sold, so I have a nice chunk of change to play with. I'm going to get some kooks long tube headers, l92 heads, and a nice cam, should be about 450rwhp. The rest of the money goes towards the house fund. I'm 22 now and my parents/neighbors can't stand the 645am cold start anymore. Looks like its finally time to buy my own house... o yea and a little 150 shot for when the big dogs come out to play
