LocTite for Shorty Antenna

I am replacing my stock antenna which is like a fishing pole to a shorty antenna but don't want it to be unscrewed and stolen. Which LocTite adhesive do people usually use to secure something like this?

I'm curious too but for my hardtop. I don't think there's something I can use that will prevent a thief from taking it off but not me. lol.

Loctite wont stop someone from taking something if they want it, but for the record blue is medium strength and red is high strength (supposedly non-removable, but thats not really true)
I'd recommend tightening it with a wrench if thats possible... thats about all you can do. This way someone shouldn't be able to remove it with their bare hands.

Just take it off when you aren't driving. It isn't exactly alot of work. Plus,, I highy doubt your reception would be as good with locktite or anything else.

seriously who goes around stealing antennas. I put one on my solstice and haven't gave it a second thought. If someone steals it I guess I will have to fork over another $6. LOL

Loctite prevents bolts from coming loose due to vibration. Put a wrench on it and it comes off.

i put a shorty antenna on my car and it hasn't been stolen yet. it's not like they are expensive though, it cost like 14 bucks from blox. not sure if lock tite would lessen the reception, but i doubt it. i think it was said already that lock tite is more for vibration than anything else. just throw it on there, if it gets taken, just get a new one, they seem to fade in color quickly anyway.

Just take it off when you get out? Or put a batter cable running to it
