A few laps around Monticello Motor Club's full 4.1 mile course

There are some of my videos from the NASA/PDA track day at Monticello Motor Club on June 25th.

A few laps of MMC's full 4.1 mile course.

Miata and tube frame camaro both go off course on the same lap.

Both videos are available in 720p HD if you select that option on Youtube.

Video was recorded with a Kodak Zi8 mounted with a Filmtools.com Gripper 3025 camera mount.

$340 for one track day is pushing the limit. why nasa? bmw has a day there for $250, are they really $90 bucks better? how much track time? Never done a track day with nasa so really would like to know why they seem to be more expensive than others?

course looks pretty awesome, look forward to putting it on my list.

How long have you been doing track days?

Not everyone can take any day off they want to go do a track day and not everyone has every weekend off from work, so I have to schedule track days around my work schedule. That means I can't always go with the cheapest group running at a track or do all the track days I want to do. During two of my sessions, there were under a dozen cars on the track, so I did get a lot of empty track to practice different lines through corners.

I got five 25 minute sessions in that day at Monticello.

The best value I found so far is Tracktime4cars, but their events filled up fast this year. Depending on the format they ran that day, I'd get either 7 or 8 20 minute sessions or 7 to 8 30 minute sessions in one day. Their event prices vary from about $190 to $300.

They were shot at 60 fps, but converted to 30 fps for Youtube.

Thank you I understand the work issue. At least you are able to get out there and drive. I will look into tracktime4cars. do you know of any good forums for NE track days?

Wish my equally cheap POS pocket sized video camera came out that well. Nice video as always. Shame stupid ugly slammed crap boxes get loads more attention than real driving on here
