Web Design help - Flash/XML/PHP etc.

I'm using Dreamweaver CS5 to work on a website for the shop where I work. I started with a blank HTML page and built from there, so I do know a little about CSS and HTML, etc. Everything is live on the site and functions perfectly... except the image gallery. To save time I bought a pre-built image gallery that is Flash/XML based, and I just can't get it to work properly. I can edit the entire look of the image gallery inside Dreamweaver just fine. It's actually suprisingly easy.

The part where I'm stuck is actually getting the images to show up in the gallery. I have followed basic instructions that were laid out in the 'help/how to use' section of the site where I bought and downloaded the gallery, and everything seems to be in order, I just can't seem to get the paths in the XML file to point to the photos the correct way.

I realize it's pretty difficult to give help like this over the interwebz, but I can take screenshots and send pics of anything you need to see as well as send any files or allow you FTP access to my site, whatever it takes. For someone 'in the know' this will probably be a laughably easy fix, but being unfamiliar with this kind of stuff, I just can't seem to get it figured out. I don't have any way to pay you except with a 'thank you', so if you know about this kind of stuff and wouldn't mind doing me a favor, I'd really really appreciate it!

make sure you're referencing the correct image locations in the XML file

that's the thing that has me completely messed up. on the help/setup page it says that the links to the images must be document relative. i've made them all doc relative and even site root relative and absolute, nothing works.

i've tried referencing an image that is directly inside the root folder (with the index.html file), inside an image assets folder, inside a folder inside that assets folder, etc.

i figured my mistake was in how it was typed out or how the images were placed inside the site structure, but since i've tried referencing them from all over the site, i have no idea what to do next.

Can you post a screen shot of the file structure and a few entries from the XML file?
