Good morning TST,

My product team is looking for another assistant product manager. Product managers are the central hub within an organization for its products and services in any industry. In short, you work with every division in a company to develop new product, line extensions, and improve existing items. You will work with sales to place your products into the retail and traditional aftermarket channels. Light travel will be required. This salary based position is challenging, rewarding, and develops you professionally and personally. Full benefits and 401K.

A little about Dorman; we service the automotive original equipment replacement pieces. We develop products that provide solutions to failure prone OE parts. We also redesign to improve the quality of our parts and void design issues with the OE pieces. At times, we develop the part that fails, versus the whole assembly. When doing this, we create a lot of value. Think of a window guide clip not sold separately by the dealer. We develop and distribute this for $5-$10 whereas if we didn't, a service tech and or DIY would have to purchase an entire replacement window regulator assembly.

Requirements:
4 year college degree
(preferably in business/marketing education)
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suites and Access

Personal Requirements:
Multi-Tasking Abilities
Great Problem Solving Skills
Ability to Delegate

Edit: Found it. Wish you were closer to Harrisburg because this job sounds right up my alley. I have a 4 year in Business Management w/ a Minor in Marketing. Also, have an associates degree in Automotive Technology.

I was offered a job at Dorman a couple years back, but did not take it only because it was a little far from home for me.

I just wanted to say it seemed like a cool place to work, and I would highly encourage anyone interested to go check it out and put in their application. Tim (the OP) is a really nice guy and was willing to help me prepare for the interview, and would probably do the same for you. Seemed like there was a lot of cool people who were really into cars working there. If you think you're a suitable candidate, definitely check it out.
