At first I thought this thread was going to be a confession. . then saw it was in the Photography section

. Out of this latest crop. . I would stay away from pic #2's style. Seems. . . not right, too bland? And I agree with Scape, something needs to be happening. . maybe something involving a pole of some sort?!

i think these are really good. i would only suggest for that for a few try to use more of the natural light/shadows to create interesting effects on the form. I might also suggest a bigger contrast between foreground subject and background. and yea a flash could have had a great creative impact.

that last one you posted makes her look super weird. her hands look enormous and everything just looks awkward. I think a different colored top on the green background would help a little bit since it kind of blends with the trees. I don't remember photo numbers but two of them were cropped weird for me and she definitely needs to smile/work on some poses.

The one I posted separately? Only one photo is cropped. And about the smiling thing, she has braces so I don't think she likes to smile. And yes, her poses are stiff, she was nervous. It's something to work on.

maybe i should have said framed, instead of cropped. some of the framing is weird to me. oh and she can smile without revealing the braces, make her laugh and then snap a photo to get a good natural smile.

Tried it. Anytime she laughed, she immediately turned her head away or put her hands to her face. Hopefully next shoot both of us will be a little more relaxed.

im no pro but i do like shooting w/o a flash. Just like the natural light better. #2 the background kinda makes it hard on my eyes.

if you can balance the flash with the ambient, you would never be able to tell a flash was used.
