This is true but in this world its all about who you know and what connections you have. I was hoping someone here had a "connection" and by helping me they would be helping themselves with our new found "friendship".

Find me the car and I will guarantee you blonde triplets.

why do you think a dealership would sell you a car for $70K when they have people lining up to pay $90K+ for it?

Every motor is HAND built in a hermetically sealed LAB. Each transmission is unique to the car its produced in. GT-Rs have tested anywhere from 470-507 brake horsepower as of now; Hence the variation in quarter mile times. Learn to read more than one magazine next time you talk.

I'm not quite sure you realize the extremity you are asking among a FORUM. No one on here is going to be able to hook you up with a car at sticker price when EVERYWHERE is selling for $100k+. On eBay, a recent one went for $112,000. It's going to take more than a ride in an M5 to convince someone to hook you up my friend.

Exactly! Limited number supply/production means higher demands/waiting list. I'm seeing this the same way when the NSX was first introduced, high dealer mark up for a sought after sports car. I still remember going into Davis Acura in Langhorne with an old filthy rich friend, they wanted 20K over sticker for one. This said friend was willing to pay 10K over sticker cash, dealer wouldn't even budge one bit. The dealer knew that they could sell the car for what they wanted. That old friend settled on a Porsche instead. Just saying that these Nissan dealerships that have the GT-R on hand may not have any room to haggle, nor just don't want to deal with it. They will sell the car as need fit to whom ever is willing to pay their marked up price.

more importantly, what is going to convince a dealer not to make what, 35k profit? I know I wouldn't lose 35k to hookup a friend

Guess you guys didn't find the "joke" in the ride part. Me and my buisness partner are very very well connected and I thought people would get my hidden message of "scratch my back and i'll scratch yours" guess I failed there.

Ive actually had/have two members here so far working on helping me out at the moment so i'd say it was at least worth the shot but hey if we cannot find the car then its not that big of a deal. It was going to be used as a daily driver even in PA winters

lol@ people thinking hand-built engines varying.

I guess they dont realize they need to be built to an exact specification, or within a certain tolerance.

Good luck to you, sir.

This is not a debate about a car none of you have ever driven, and probably never even been inside. It is a networking request so if you dont have help or feedback that is ON TOPIC then drop it. The GT-R argument is old news, especially among those without any personal experience.

So far its a shame to see the people who purchased the cars. One fellow just bought 5 of them. Each Picked up/being picked up by trailer from the dealers to put them in a warehouse and "sit" on them so he can resell for well over 100,000 in a few months.

When Joe finds his gtr you'll see this car daily driven, tracked, modified, etc. It wont go to waste

Your best bet (like mentioned above) is to start calling around the country for dealers in no mans land to see if they will sell it for msrp which is just a SUGGESTED price not what they are worth. What its worth is individual to the person buying it. They are selling for over 100k so to alot of people with the money its worth it. Also go to the dealers and make an offer in person with all finances in order ready to go. You might be surprised. Not to mention it’s for a shop/test bed for moding so you could throw in a sort a promotional aspect to it like advertising for them or having the car on display at the dealer after its built.

Also, get White

And not to beat a dead horse but anyone that thinks what a Magazine gets for test results is dead on needs to learn more about cars, how they perform and how every driver will get different results. NEVER use what a magazine says as fuel for what YOU know.

I buy and sell a lot of cars for my company and did a quick look for you on what they selling for. A couple have hit auction and are selling well over $100k on the block. Every dealer is listing the car out at least $15k over MSRP. You're dealing with one of the hottest cars on the market right now with an extremely limited supply. There are people mortgaging their houses to buy this car. I'm buying about 30 Nissan's (and have bought about 100 cars from his dealer network in the past year) and just for S&G's I asked him what he could sell me a GT-R for. He pointed to the sticker on the car and said not a penny less. So, as "hooked up" as you are doesn't really matter when you are asking for a $20k favor.

Since it's for your business you need to weigh the pros and cons of the purchase. You may be able to wait it out a little bit and pick one up at MSRP or a little more, however it will delay your parts development. Or, you can take the plunge, pay what they are asking and get your product to market faster than other people, hoping that being one of the first will give you a better return. Also, if you buy the car now and do what you need to do with it as a product mule (don't DD it however) you could probably flip the car modded or stock and break even on your purchase (maybe even make money) if you act quick.
