Well there is word that there is a new dragstrip with oval tracks opening up. Here is the letter. Apparently it is in Douglasville right off 422.

Dear Motorsports Enthusiasts:

I am pleased to report that on August 23, 2007, the Union Township Zoning Board voted to approve the proposed Liberty Bell Motorsports Park and Campground. This decision allows the project to go forward legally with certain conditions outlined by the Township and agreed to by all parties. This approval will allow us to proceed to the land development permitting process. This is, simply stated, a technical review of the plan as it relates to impacts such as earth disturbance, site grading, sewer, water, landscaping, erosion and sedimentation control, etc. We do not anticipate any problems during this review process. Much of the enginneering has been completed and we hope to begin construction in the spring of 2009. Construction of the park will take about 6 to 8 months. I would ask that you be vigilant in checking the website for construction updates as the time approaches.

Lastly, I would like to take the time to thank each and every one of you that gave your support during the last 7 years. I know the end result will be a “World Class” Motorsports Facility second to none.

If someone wants to move this thread they can. There will be an 1/8 mile drag strip I hear and it will be part of the NHRA.

did anyone see the owners garage on that website? click museum his personal cars will be there to look at....pretty sick collection.
