I percieve those as being supercars.

Here is how I see it

Miata etc = sports car
NSX, Carrera, etc. = Super Car/Sports Car
Murcielago, F430 = Supercar
Veyron = Showoff

would you consider a crx a sports car then? its the same exact thing as a miata.

no.

a super car to me is something that flies, and isnt just a car.

like a car and a house. maybe like an RV. thats a supercar.
or a car that can fly? boat car. serial.

A sports car is a vehicle that is built for performance and doesn't double as a giant neon "I LUFF PEENOR" billboard. The miata fails at being a sports car in that respect.

I have never met CleanNeon personally, but seriously, you need to STFU. Many of your threads are worthless. From my observation: you were trying to be accepted with your neon, then your civic, and now the miata. It's not the car...

So do you consider your mustang a sports car?

Im sorry you misunderstand me in that respect, but I really dont care about being "accepted". I bought my car because I liked it, if I wanted what other people liked I would have bought a Subaru

Well then, why all of these threads pertaining to your car? It's like your adamant to prove to everyone that the miata is a sports car. The miata is a girly car. And it IS a sports car. So there. It is a sports car, but your car is still girly.

If you're happy with the car, who cares about what other people think.

Because I used to see them as bitch cars until I drove one as well. The car has a lot of history and engineering behind it, and I just want to see how other people think of them. Ive been talking about the miata even before I had one. I dont care what they think of MY car, and me having one, but I am curious about an opinion on the Miata in general

I voted sports car. I don't see alot of women driving them for some reason. I see more older men than anything else.

Sure, why not? The miata mimics the older open sports cars like the xk jags, and all sorts of british and italian roadsters that were perceived as the definition of what a sports car is. Rumor has it Mazda even bought an Alfa spider to copy its exact exhaust note.
A girl's car is one that is strongly marketed towards girls. The original miata obviously was not. As an example of a car that was strongly marketed towards females, look at the new beetle. But lets not confuse a car that was marketed towards girls with a car with feminine lines. I feel that some autos have lines that mimic femineity or masculinity. In this regard, I feel that the Jaguar xke(e-type) is the spitting image of a feminine car. Yet is it demasculating for a man to drive one? Heck no. Note how most captains refer to their ships as a lady.
Even so, it is quite ignorant to regard a male that drives a (marketed towards) girl car as homosexual. Femineity and homosexuality are not directly related!! There are feminine acting males that are completely straight just as there are gay ones that are extremely masculine.
