D- you know I'm just messin' with you and everyone else with Pansy Pink wheels. I like your car alot...I just happen to like Troll's more.

And for the record, I was born in 1930, not 1940.

I ABSOLUTLY LOVE the fact that you won. Your car is probably my favorite Subaru I've seen yet. The competition was pretty fierce. That BrainChild Car is tight as hell. I'm very jelous of his fuel system

D's car looks good as allways too. I like it better with a front bumper

Sometime around June or July at the latest...probably will be on the next season of True Life. They asked if you were doing anything with the pooopra...i told them to contact you if they wanted info. Thats about all they told me or will at least tell me.

I've been in NY for a month, so........

Did you ever get it tuned? Did the Samco hoses work OK?

muddy...
i ignored your question because it was a sore subject. i've been going through hell over the tune, but i took some time off and worked on the supra a bit, and now i'm trying to come back to the wrx refreshed.
the samco hoses did work great and i can get them back to you at any time, just let me know what works... and thanks again for letting me borrow them.

big thanks to greg and scott budriss for letting me jump on their lift yesterday... i was able to reposition my oil return line under the turbo and get some fresh hose clamps on it, and hopefully that will put a stop to the slow oil leak i had. most people including myself doubted that you could get to it without pulling the turbo, but it is possible, although not easy. i had to pull the downpipe and the uppipe/trans bracket and that gave me enough room to get a couple fingers in there, unfortunately not a whole hand. it was a struggle but i was able to slip the hose down slightly and then somehow get a couple new hose clamps onto it and tighten them down. if it still leaks now then i dont know what to say, there's nothing more i can do. i really dont see how it could still leak from there though.

i've also been trying to troubleshoot this mystery knock when i blip the throttle. some other guys on nasioc have shared their experiences as well, and i'm going to try one of their ideas. a couple guys actually found that they were knocking at that low load low rpm from not having enough timing in that area... they compared their current map to the stock and found the stock actually runs quite a bit more timing down low... changing to near stock values remedied the problem. that is my next step...

i really want to get this thing tuned, running solid, and go back to driving it daily in the long run at least. i dont see the need to have two weekend cars (the wrx and the supra), and although i've got a ton of love for the wrx i think it would better serve as the daily and let the supra be the weekend toy.

cross your fingers!
