Want some opinions on this video, i think its a very powerfull video and i love his concept and his style. I think hes gonna turn a lot of heads this summer, but I konw this wont get played anywhere and i think its gonna eb a damn shame that its not because its not a pop video. Lets hear your input.

I'm actually very open minded. I just have a problem with songs like this.

Allow me to quote him.

Just wondering... Whats powerful about it? Is he saying we're all niggas? Cause the first time I would say that in the hood would probably be the last time so he is straight up lying to me.

I'm not sayin the video isn't cool or anything, sure it may be. But the fact is that his song is filled to the brim with an enormous amount of racist comments and double standards. Am i close minded because i think that a song that perpetuates the social divides between americans is wrong? I think not. I'm quite the opposite. I'd rather people like Nas, who somehow have power in the black communities to come out and say things like Dr. Cosby. It's a shame that songs like this come out which continue to talk about violence, cars, and the oppressive white man get looked at as profound. Its a damn shame.

This song basically dissed the white man but tryed to recruit Azns Italians Spanish and Jewish community on his side and make the generic white population look bad
i think he was tryin to break barriers but failed horribly like i see nas's point but i mean the white bringing the blacks down is GETTING OLDDDDD
theres still racism but its nowhere near as bad as it use to be and if anything theres the same amount of racist blacks as there are whites and any other ethnic group so nas = disaster

i also dont consider the word niga racist i just think its what alto of people consider an ignorant person but to all there own

Believe me, racism is very strong still. Living in west philly, i see it every day. It sucks, but it is true. My mom works at UPS where it is predominantly black, but most of the people she works with are very friendly. One day the topic of racism came up and her coworkers told her how a large part of the black community dislike whites deeply and this was something that the rest of the coworkers agreed with. I don't know how many times i've been yelled at while walking through Overbrook because i'm white. It doesn't even both me anymore, but it's pretty bad. I'm not saying all black people are like this, but rather my experiences. On the flip, i play pickup games with black guys all the time and would rather play with them because their hilarious and genuinely good guys.

I love how some blacks keep reminiscing about their past and slavery and it cracks me up how they keep bringing it up like it's still going on. racism is always going to be around so they need to quit crying about it and these rappers need to quit making millions of $$$ on this crap. </opinion>

I actually like NAS, but I think that in order for us to get past racism, we need to look down on songs like these, the same way that we would if a white guy put it out. I mean, jesus christ, we are about elect a black president. Isn't that a sign that things are changing? How can you keep blame "the man", when the man is going to be black?

I personally think the instrumentals and video are more powerful than the lyrics...
