Awesome shot I got today

I was at OCMD today and saw a surfer and grabbed my D40x with 55-200 lens at f/12. This photo was not edited at all except for my name and border it came out really good I think.

you can straighten the horizon in photoshop... i have to do it in a TON of my pictures because for some reason i just hold the camera at a slight angle... i think it might be the weight.

awesome colors... and hell, i didn't even notice the horizon was not straight until i read carbonis' comment

Nice job.
Yeah, it's pretty close so most won't notice. Counter clockwise rotation by 0.2 degree would fix it.

I'd warm the white balance slightly to correct the blueish tint on the surfer.

Not bad. My only gripe is the centered composition. I think it would have been a lot more powerful had you gotten lower and framed him in the bottom left with more open area to the top and right.

EDIT:

I chopped up your shot a bit, moved some stuff around, and made a few tweaks like minor curves and color balance. This is more of what I was talking about. Keep in mind it was a 5-minute chop job, so I didn't clean it up or anything.
