Ford Escape
Nissan Altima
Toyota Camry
Toyota Highlander

Off the top of my head, you can get those cars in Hybrid form. They dont look any different from their stock form, besides badging or wheels in some cases.

I hate hybrids for the following reasons:
assholes that are s smug cause they think they are saving the world.
assholes that think they can drive 10 under the speed limit to save more gas as if no one else on the road has to get anywhere
assholes that still think they get decent mileage flying down the passing lane
assholes that think they get the best MPG on the road, for EPA rated 45MPG highway I think there are cheaper alternatives, a Corolla gets almost as good mileage.
the smart isn't a hybrid but it only gets 35mpg. LOL

You spend 20k for a car with a complex drive system, you don't get much else out of that car in terms of interior quality or performance. A VW TDI, which the new ones are probably going to be around the same price I believe will cost less in the long run, I cant wait for batteries to start going in Hybrids, and then people will no longer think VW maintenance is expensive. VW TDI-Hybrid>TDI>Milli Vanilli>Hybrids

Whoa there angry pants. Not all hybrids run on batteries, example the Lexus RX hybrid eliminates 3 of its 6 cylinders cutting half the fuel consumption at cruising speeds to save gas mileage. Uses all 6 under acceleration.

hybrids are agrevating. the only people more smug than hybrid drivers, are volvo people. why do they drive so damn slow and carry all their kids/dogs ect in the car with them everywhere they go?

the c30 isnt bad looking though, i kinda like it.

thats not a full on hybrid though. Thats like saying those GM vehicles with the extra alternator or whatever they did are real hybrids. I mostly just hate the Prius. I don't see how that Lexus is a "hybrid" at all though. Its just a fancy gas engine.

I dont get an expensive hybrid though. If I can afford a Benz, I can afford the gas. Volvo is developing some super complex hybrid that uses a gas engine to run an electric motor at each wheel. It will be efficient, but I bet it cost $40,000 for a rather simplisticly equipped car.

We need more diesels like europe.
I need a Polo TDI. get like 60-70mpg with normal driving

The C30 is a cool car, I got my parents to borrow one from the Volvo dealer for the day. The problem is that it will never be as sporty as the cheaper sport compact cars whos owners Volvo wants to upgrade. Its got the power, but it is more like a touring car than a sport compact. Plus the car with decent options is 30k and will depreciate faster than all hell... needless to say an Audi A3 at the same price was a better buy
