Im a mailman. A carrier will not pick up that box since it does weigh over 13 ounces. The box needs to be taken to a post office. If you drop it in a blue collection box it will be tagged as target mail since its over 13 ounces with no return address. which means the box will be opened by the inspection service and most likely tossed in the trash since its being sent back with standard mail postage. If you walk that bad boy into the post office though it will hit its destination.

Good find! Its almost as bad as Telemarketers. Here in Germany regular people are paid to stuff your mailbox with junk all day, I just yell at them and they go running. I am going to try the brick thing on them tomorrow morning when I see one trying to hand me something, I'll take it and just hand them a brick or big stone. great idea!

How do you expect it to stop junk mail unless you put your name on it...

yeah, it's a great way to get rid of old tires. just cut them in half and fold them into a box, then let them worry about it.

Yes you must take it to the post office. Anything over 13 ounces must be dropped off at the post office. You could take a dump in the box and ship that. Just please make sure im not your mailman

I thought those pre-paid things had a 40 lb limit?

Yes the is a higher limit that can be shipped in that box. Since 9/11 the carrier has the right to refuse to pick up anything that is over 13 ounces or any parcel under that weight without a return address. They now consider those parcels/packages target mail. If you going to put a brick in it just drop it at the post office.
