I thought I would get this thread started for her, since I pretty much have all the pics on my laptop.

Previous car was a 2000 Ford Mustang GT (ie slow money pit terd) ;)

NEW Car is a 2000 Artic White Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6 6-Speed.
Brand New, day she got it: (notice the rare nasty wheels)

1st Mod: Rims
Little Advice... Make fun of the wheels... she'll just steal yours

Well after the wheels were on I cam home from my deployment.
This is what I found under the hood:

Not totally stock. Has a Lid, and an extremely GAY yellow strut tower brace. Also if you look closely it has ricer-red zip ties on the wiring harness.
That was a harbinger

Car was throwing a MAF (Mass Air Flow) code. So the car ran ULTRA LEAN. IE 30 degrees of timing.
1st time to the track at Maryland International Raceway netted a 15.70 1/4 mile time

We knew it was the MAF, so I replaced it with my old MAF that I don't use due to the fact I am FI and I use a speed density tune.
2nd time to the track with new MAF netted a 13.90 1/4 mile time

So totally pissed I took the car to one of my buddies and found out the lead was bad for the MAF. Rewired the lead and wa-lah no codes, car pulls strong. Now that the car is in the 13's and has a so-so base-line time to mod.
Did LS1 Free-Mods (Cut EGR tube, opened up air intake tray from the Ram Air) and a brand new pimp Pro-5.0 shifter:

Going to be in Philly this weekend, hopefully we can hit ATCO and get a new best.

in for updates on this car too. i absolutely love WS6's. When I decide to buy myself a v8, i'll be looking for one of these.

soon as we are done with the build for his car, we are going to pop on my heads, put the cam in, long tubes, y pipe, and catback .. then she will be taken to the track again.

So since Krista stole my wheels, and they are pretty old, and we were bored lol.....
yeah, we painted um ;)

Also took the car to Capitol Raceway in Maryland.

On a hot ass day, and launching from idle... The car ran 13.301@105.49 with a 2.0 60ft.

Not bad. If we get a well prepped track, with maybe some good air, I think it has 12's in it. But I think exhaust will go on it next. Not looking to set a stock record.

UPDATE:
Changed color of wheels from white to gold. Don't ask LOL.

Put Magnaflow catback on.
Put My old Jett-Hott Long-Tube headers on.

Freak'n Header bolts!!!

Old Headers off

New (to her) Jett-Hotts on

Put off-road Y-pipe on (bye bye cats!)
Changed the plugs to TR-55's
Put MSD Plugs on.
Put new 02 sensors on and extensions.

Then once all that crap was on we dyno'd it. As you can hear in the link the car sounds pretty aggressive.

Car put down 308hp and 316tq on a mustang dyno. Pretty much spot on for a LS1 intake and unported throttle body.

I think Heads and Cam is next!

Nice update. Get some full car pics up with the wheels gold. It's definitely a different look on a f-body, I'd like to see how it turned out.

Gold wheels on that car just dont work. Its jdm styling on a usdm car. Personally I think black would work best.

Everyone has black. And it was too much we tried it.
oh and Trans Am's Came with gold wheels back in the 70's.

In the garage. The torque thrusts are temporary. Looking at this nice set of hyper black wheels, can't decide btwn those and welds.

No straight pipe so far, I do have heads and cam waiting to go on. I haven't fully decided what I want to do with this project. Most likely will keep it N/a for a while.

nice car.. glad to see you sold the junk and got a beast. i am thinking about selling my formula so i can get an ls1 ... its jsut to easy to walk out and have a car done though. instead of having to build it...again.

i am not a fan of boost on v8's ... i see and own and deal or...EXPERINCE the feeling of juice..and its amazing..

plus with being a ws6 .. u can buy that thin line pro nitrous kit that fits between the intake mani and the block..and make it like 90% hidden.. pretty cool to keep the engine bay clean..and not look like mine and have lines.. everywhere.
