Yeah man just show up between 8 and 9 to register, costs $40 for non-scca members and $30 for scca members, pass tech inspection, and you're in.

I was there also, but I didn't enter the event. My 300zx was parked in the corner of the parking lot though.
Hopefully I'll be entering events again soon. The MR2 does have a swap. I forget which, and I believe it has ITBs also. |

Awwe, sorry ;)
I was running timing for majority of the day. I wanted to enter the car, but didn't. It's kind of hard to explain why, but I guess I just didn't want to beat on the car. I trust it an all, that it won't break but I just didn't want to enter it yet. It is my only driving car at the moment too, and also it isn't exactly setup at all to do that sort of driving so it's kind of like, why bother? It's a heavy car (much like your 3000gt) but I am still on stock suspension besides suspension bushings. It has a lot of lean. I'm getting another car today, a '91 Honda CRX Si, that will be my new daily driver/beater car. After I get that and start driving it I will enter the Z here or there, and I will likely enter the CRX here or there also, that is until I finish the MR2; which is what I used to enter all of the time. I'm always up for driving other people's cars too, Adam can tell you that. ;) |

Ah, probably a wise decision. Congrats on the Si! But I'm still hopeful to see the Z run at least once. Even if you aren't going for any records, it might be fun. :p

I promise I will enter the Z before selling it later this year, and it will likely be at a NEPA event, possibly next weekend at Frackville. Depends how the course is setup. I won't run it on a very small/tight course, I'd have to go home and get the Si for that lol You planning on being at more of the NEPA events? |

Is the Z turbo? It's so hard to tell with those cars. :p
Yeah I want to attend them all, will be down in Frackville next weekend. I need brakes & a clutch but oh well cross your fingers, hahah. See you there? I'll have to introduce myself. I'm hoping for a nice open course like this last one, my 3700 lb. car was a handful enough through that one, but I've heard the ones in Nanicoke are pretty tight ... not looking forward to that.

I'll be around bright and early and there until the end. I'll try to look for you as well. Frackville is another "larger" event for us. NEPA is a small region, and therefore we get stuck with smaller lots to use. The Bodart company is one of our larger lots to be honest. Frackville is probably just as large, and always a good time. We do have a new location out near Blooms this year though at Columbia Mall, so that should be another larger event for us too. Nanticoke is quite small, and although I still have fun at the events I never really look forward to them cause I know it is just going to be so small. My car, no it is a NA. Some easy ways to tell with the Z (stock trim at least) is all twin turbo models in the US were 2+0 (meaning a 2 seater). Mine is a 2+2, or 4 seater. You can tell that from looking inside, or also just from the overall shape of the car. Its longer, the rear windows are bigger, and whole hatch is different. Though the easiest way to tell when you can't tell from the shape is look for the gas cap door on the drivers side. 2+0 has it infront of the rear wheel, 2+2 has it behind the rear wheel. As far as I know the TT had a spoiler from the factory, possibly non-optional but I am not positive on that, mine clearly doesn't. NA has 16x7.5 wheels front and rear. TT has 16x7.5 front, 16x8.5 rear. However I had after market rims on it. TT has vents cut out in the bottom lower corners of the front bumper for the intercoolers. Mine is smooth, as it is a NA. TT also has a boost gauge under the tack, where mine doesn't but that is hard to see. If I was able to afford it, I would love to swap mine over to TT but it's just not going to happen for me. It's just a long story behind the Z... |

Alright good to know about Frackville. Are there ever any more cars at an event beyond the cars there were at Brodart? Seemed like there were few enough to move quickly through the runs, too many more might be a little annoying.
Thanks for all the tips on telling a TT from an N/A ... I honestly had NO idea! The only two people I've known with TT Z32's have been NA-TT conversions, one of which was a convertible.

We generally get more than 6 runs a day, but there are a lot of things that account for the number of runs. The speed of the course, the layout of the course, how often people are spinning or hitting cones, lunch break or not, and the list goes on. They simply judge how fast they think things will go and will either give you 3 or 4 runs in the morning, then after the first two heats they determine how many more they can do in the afternoon. I don't remember ever getting less than 6 at a NEPA event. You shouldn't ever get less than 6 runs during a NEPA event. Other regions that bring in 100+ or even 200 cars only give you 3 runs, 4 if you are lucky. Though they are generally much longer courses, up closer to 1 minute. |

Alright good deal then. That's awesome.
What class are you running in? Oh, and this is random, but is your screen name by chance from the FF series?

Depends on the car. My MR2 is SM2. 300zx will maybe be STS or CSP (though I don't have racing tires), and the CRX will either be STS2 or HS (till I work it).
Yes it is, Final Fantasy VI to be exact. |
