Talking "economic stimulus" checks being issued NOW!

i just got paid my $ from the Gov for the econmonic stimulus act signed by our prez. they are being issued as we speak and will arrive soon/ now. if u have direct deposit from ur tax refund they will send them by direct deposit, if not u get them by snail mail...

they are being issued via last name i think, A-L is right now i think and M-Z will be next month or something like that nature....since last time i asked about ppls refunds i asked what would be done with them and i got about 4 of the same answers...ill narrow that in a poll...what will u do with it?

remember: they issued this money to help boost the economy, they want u to spend the $ on USA goods....lets see where this goes...

I selected "pay off bills" since mine will be going towards next semesters tuition. Whatever I have leftover will put into savings.

Other.

Mine is going into my living room, getting it finished finally. Sure would be nice to get a clutch for the 7 though.

i picked 'every penny will be spent on the car' haha... which isnt entirely accurate, but eh... i'd be spending the money to fix up the Supra anyway so we'll just say that this specific money is helping out with that...
i'm spending it with shops located in the US so hopefully i'm doing my part to help out

yeah more or less, but remember there is a CAP to the giving, like if u earn X amount of dollars. if u earn over a certain amount, u get nothing. its a 600 dollar CAP for singles and 1200 CAP for couples. u can be a single and get only 300 but thats bc u make so much money.....i got all 600...which means im single and dont earn a lot of money...

troll i was interested in ur answer about it going to US companies. that was the point i tried to mention! they issue this money to pump up the US economy and i know that most ppl here (and that includes me) if they were to spend it on monds, itd most liklely go to a japanese tuner comp...which is ironic! haha

that excludes the idea of buying the parts from a local high perf shop....well then everybody wins....

tidbit of info:

the us gov got the $ froma loan....from another country....

CHINA.

please also note: 90% of things bought in the us are made in china...which means we borrowed money we will have to pay back, in interest, then the money we borrowed we wil pour most of it BACK into CHINA ;s economy....

OH HOW THE WORLD WORKS!

i bet china is laffing at us right now!

I voted 'Every penny will be spent for the car!' because if I get anything back I'm putting it towards my 240 fund =P

You're still not using the money for the purpose that they intended. Paying bills won't help the money because you're just paying off things that you have already bought in the past.
