Palringo is another one as well. It supports multiple services (AIM, GoogleTalk, etc). They also have a free windows mobile version, which is very nice.

Been using both Trillian and Pidgin (previously GAIM) for years now. I prefer Trillian, as it has proven to be more stable for me. Pidgin still crashes on occasion, and seems to use more system resources...

I could never understand why there are so many variations of programs that do the same thing. In some cases they interact with all programs (people using AIM, etc) so why all the hype with other programs? People say they're more stable, but I've never had a problem with AIM or iChat.
