possible ticketing frenzy in PA?

Hey guys, I'm not really sure if this is rumor or what but I was sent this by a friend of mine on facebook, so just for precautionary reasons I figured I would give everyone else a heads up (just in case it's true)! I honestly don't know the validity of it. Sorry!

"Hello All,
A really good contact sent this to me, so I wanted to let all know about this situation.

Starting today, Pennsylvania will launch a 30-day speeding ticket frenzy. The state estimates that 9 million dollars will be generated in speeding tickets. 1 million will go to pay state troopers' overtime. There will be 50 state troopers on duty at all times patrolling the 9 main intersections and highways. They are the following:

I-279 north and south
I-376 east and west
I-76 east and west
I-80 east and west
I-79 north and south
I-70 east and west
PA-60
PA-66
US-22

5 mph above the limit can justify a ticket and every state trooper is supposed to pull a car over and write a ticket every 10 to 20 minutes. They have issued 30 brand new unmarked Dodge Charger Police cruisers and are bringing In all of their part timers on full time. If you work in western Pennsylvania, you will probably take one of these highways. It's up to you how fast you are going when they clock you.
KDKA and WDVE confirmed all of this. So be safe and don't forget speeding tickets are on you.

Driving Ticket fine increase in PA:

Starting on August 15th, the price of a ticket for violation of PA Law 39:3-29 (failure to show your driver's license, registration, or insurance card at the time you are stopped) is going from $44.00 to $173.00.

Please make sure your vehicles have the proper documents in them. If you jump in the car to run to the store and forget your wallet with your license in it and you are stopped.... Oh well... you just spent $173. And the fine for not having all three documents is $519!!!"

slow down, this means you too, dan

Idk. I've had my Mom's boss tell me something about this last summer, and they both heard it from a state trooper.

there was a thread like this last year. It's like a chain letter deal.

well.....i dunno about exact roads bumping up police force. but they do massacre certain highways once a month...

about 2 weeks ago i was road testing a car at work, driving down route 1 in langhorne, by oxford valley. and i saw 4 cop cars on the side of the road....i looked southbound and there were 3 other cop cars on the side of the road.....3 or 4 of these cars had ppl pulled over....literally 2 seconds after my rbain registered cop activity there i saw flashin lights in my mirror....

after taking my 120 dollar fine i asked the officier about the behavior, she said once a month 6-7 of them will pick some random highway and just go gun crazy blasting anyone speeding, its a complete trap. they do it on purpose.

so while the whole chain letter thing may be false...i have been prey to a massive police attack.

the state cops just seem like there only there to generate revenue for the state it seems like.

I've noticed Upper Moreland police sitting at blair mill + 611 everyday during the rush hours... usually getting people blowing the red, but I'm 99% sure they were stopping people for tint this past Friday morning... saw atleast 5 cars with 35% or darker pulled over in a 1 1/2 hour span.

Coatesville was on fire with police activity this weekend. I drove through the city a number of times and EACH time I saw at least two cars pulled over. I even saw some people get arrested!
