Linky to that review? A larger screen would make this more of an all around laptop replacement for me! Did they mention price?

Edit: I read about that on engadget a few weeks ago.

Ha! I like my Compaq laptop, but I can't help but be excited! I think this and other cheap laptops will pave the way for the future. Before if you wanted something small that you could easuly travel with and do basic tasks you were looking at spending $1,000+++ on something from Sony or another computer.

Asus sold 350,000 of these last quarter, which exceeded their expectations. Now there is talk about selling these in Best Buys in the US! That will certainly make other manufacturers feel a bit of a pinch come September when parents are looking for something for their students.

Don't hold your breath for the 10" ASUS said it's not gonna happen.

Best Buy does currently stock them, but online only. I am hoping to get one at a small local store near me! I will post pics if I succeed!

I didn't need one either, but it sure is cool! The battery never seems to die!

lol, all laptop batteries seem to start out like that though. My toshiba battery used to last me between 3 and 4 hours, 4 years ago. Now it lasts 20 minutes.....if I'm lucky.

Palm was going to make a Linux based laptop, which looked like it would be bad ass (With a bigger screen then the eee). Unfortunately they killed it off.

Since ASUS made it its probably a pretty stable setup. The only reason i don't like ASUS anymore is because they discontinued a motherboard i have (A8nSLI Premium) instead of recalling it because it was so messed up. and now my desktop doesn't even work. But how do you like it??

It is now my primary computer! It does everything. I may change the OS because the default one is kind of limited.
