i don't know why they replaced the D50 with the D40, complete down grade. the D40x is atleast worth it with its 10mp and bigger screen. I began with the D50 and loved it and i recently sold it to a guy who owned a D40 and he never turned back. I now own a D70 i bought used the same price i sold the D50. The D70 is a bit faster and has the commander mode for wireless flash.


all are great cameras you should go to a camera store that caries all of them pick them up and try them out. you will need to take a look at the stats on them and go from their

to gain more market share at the entry level market, where Canon has had a stronghold with their Rebel line of product.

Well I may be picking up a rebel XT thanks to my man 97 turbo dsm, he found me a steal of a deal on access photo, i just hope the guy still has it.

i know...i mis-worded what i was trying to say. i meant that the VR is a good selling point if he was considering the d40 or any other nikon. and from my experience that and the canon IS work better than most other systems out there.
